Sale Terms and Conditions

Music at Noosa reserves the right to cancel, at any time before delivery, an order that it has previously accepted.

Music at Noosa may do this for various reasons including:

(a) Our suppliers are unable to supply goods that they have previously promised to supply

(b) An event beyond our control, such as storm, fire, flood, earthquake, terrorism, power failure, war, strike or failure of computer systems, means that we are unable to supply the Goods within a reasonable time

(c) Goods ordered were subject to an error on the Website, for example, in relation to a description, price or image, which was not discovered prior to the Order being accepted

Price Changes

Prices and stock may change without notice.
We try our best to keep up to date with prices and stock on our web site, however we have the right to refuse sale on unavailable products or pricing abnormalities due to unforeseen circumstances.

New Products

You are entitled to a refund, repair, exchange or credit if the product you have bought is:

  • faulty
  • significantly different to those shown or described to you; or
  • not doing what they are supposed to do.

As per the ACCC Website, you are not entitled to a refund if you 'simply change your mind' or are responsible for the damage.

When you buy, you should choose carefully. We do suggest that you research products before purchasing.

Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase.

Second Hand Products

Music at Noosa is a licensed second-hand dealer and have been operating from our Noosaville store for over 20 years.

Second Hand purchases have a 7 day return policy.

If there is an issue with your purchase, please contact us immediately so we can try to rectify any problem.

Please be aware that second hand instruments are sold in “as is” condition and are not new. Therefore, second hand instruments may have imperfections and will exhibit wear and tear dependant on the age and condition of the instrument.

In the event a forward order or layby cancellation is made by you (The Customer), you will be charged a $50 admin fee and 20% restocking fee.

In the event that a Web transaction cancellation is made by you (The Customer), you will be charged a minimum of $50 admin fee and 20% restocking fee.

Spare Parts

Purchase of any non-licenced part as a replacement spare part is at your own risk. Some replacement parts also require professional installation to fit correctly. We cannot refund spare parts that have been unpacked or used.

Music at Noosa can sell your instrument through our shop on a consignment basis.

We take an agreed percentage off the mutually agreed sale price as our commission for the transaction.

We will pay you amount by direct deposit into your bank within 7 days of the sale.

Your item is left with us until it is sold, or you wish it returned to you.  We ask for a minimum exclusive period of 30 days to ensure we have a fair chance of selling it.

If we are in negotiations with a customer and receive an offer which is below your minimum agreed amount, we will not sell the item unless we make contact with you and confirm if you will accept the lower price.

Whilst our store is a highly secure business & we endeavour to look after your items with the greatest of care whilst in our possession, we will not be held liable for any damage, wear & tear, misuse, theft or any other loss of your item whilst it is in our store.  We highly recommend that you check your insurance policy to ensure you are covered whilst your property is left with us.

The seller remains the owner of the property until it is sold.  Music at Noosa is acting as an agent on your behalf to sell your goods.  We recommend you list your property on the Australian Personal Property Securities Register to ensure your interest in your property is secured.

Products Damaged in Transit

Our couriers will endeavour to supply you with the product you have ordered from us and in the condition that the goods were dispatched, however on occasion goods may be damaged in transit to you. If you find that the goods were damaged in transit or were faulty in some manner, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving the goods.

Receiving goods

Check the box thoroughly for any damage like punctures, moisture or tearing in the cardboard.

If the box has damage make sure that the driver has marked the box as damaged and sign for the goods accordingly.  Without the notification of damaged boxes on the consignment the freight company cannot be held responsible for the damage and the person signing for the goods becomes liable.

Check the product thoroughly and ensure that you contact Music at Noosa immediately if any damage has occurred so that we can try to rectify the issue.

For a peace of mind when buying online you can opt for an additional insurance cover on the delivery of your goods.  This is particularly helpful if you live in a remote location and the goods have to be shifted to local forwarding couriers or you simply would prefer that whatever happens the goods and your investment are protected.  Please see the shipping options in your checkout cart or shipping calculator.

It is always preferrable to deliver to a workplace address to minimise the risk of no one being home to receive the delivery.

Returning Goods

In the event of an item being approved by us to be returned for replacement, exchange or refund/store credit, all freight costs are to be borne by the purchaser except when there is damage to goods upon arrival or the product is dead on arrival (electronic equipment). All returns will incur a 20% restocking fee.

Please ensure the goods are re-packed as well as they can be and ready for pickup

We will send you a consignment tracking number and notification that a pickup will occur soon.
