Stephen Treloar Super Tenor Ukulele w/case *Australian Handmade
We're proud to support high quality Local Australian made instruments and this Stephen Treloar Super Tenor ukulele is absolutely beautiful! Hand made in Boreen Point, 10/15 minutes out of Noosa, using beautiful solid timbers.
The Super Tenor model was developed by Stephen Treloar after talking to players who were looking for an instrument with a bigger sound and still able to be tuned to standard tenor ukulele tuning. (GCEA)
Inspired by West Australian ukulele builder Scott Wise who also builds a similar instrument with a slightly longer scale.
This model features a baritone size body with a slightly longer scale Tenor neck and fretboard, (SCALE LENGTH - 19") which gives the player a bigger rounder sounding instrument and also slightly more room on the fretboard then a standard scale tenor ukulele, this model is ideal for a ukulele player who incorporates fingerstyle playing and melody playing.
The super tenor model also features a matching end draft and headstock overlay to maintain a pleasing visual theme.
Standard super tenor ukulele build uses spruce soundboard for optimum sound quality, spruce bracing, Qld maple back and sides, Qld maple neck with carbon fiber reinforcement.
