Most measure 45 watts RMS into 8 ohms at 1% distortion around 50 watts RMS at Clipping
This is not a 30W kit version of the JTM-45
- The only production JTM45 in the world that uses mostly period correct vintage 50's and 60's parts
The only output transformer in the world that uses 20% vintage radiometal core material (this is how the amp gets its creamy natural compression at saturation)
The only output transformer in the world to use 200v insulation winding wire (more wire in the window lets me use more copper for an improved output transformer)
The amplifier is wired using silver Tefzel aviation grade Teflon hookup wire (high temperature long life does not deteriorate with age even over 20 years)
All point to point wiring using hand made Bakelite Turrett boards and gold plated brass pins (all components are rigidly mechanically secured so parts don't fall off with vibration and shipping, unlike PCB's)
High grade milled pin gold CMC valve sockets (the best available in the world and hand assembled in Australia)
Studio grade ALPS A2 conductive plastic faders as used in top line studio mixing consoles and the best audiophile amplifiers
Most resistors are NOS 50's 60's vintage from IRH, DUCOHM (our own Rola / Plessey made resistors), Philips (all Australian made) or vintage 50's ERIE (England)
Semco NOS 70's silver dipped, Ruby Mica caps (great sonics)
HT electrolytics are new stock low ESR (for long life, stability, and broadband bypassing qualities)
Sockets are new stock CMC machined pin, NOS McMurdo vintage 50's (as were used in the original Marshall 1962 chassis) on request available for no extra charge for those who may want a bit more 60's authenticity.
