Gabor Josika - guitar

Gabor has been teaching guitar at Music@Noosa for over 100yrs. He has worked with students of all ages and levels and is well versed in a variety of musical styles! Asides from teaching at M@N, Gabor has also taught at a number of schools around the Sunshine Coast and has over 20yrs of professional performing and touring experience under his belt .




Paul Williams / Brass/woodwind

Started playing clarinet and saxophone at age 11 in London. Lessons with Ron Moore, clarinettist with the London Symphony Orchestra. Turned professional at 15, toured England and Switzerland with the New Iberia Stompers and the Back O’ Town Syncopators. Spent 12 months in Turkey playing American bases. Cruise ships for a year before settling in Sydney. Worked theatres, clubs, pubs and recording sessions, backing artists such as Isaac Hayes, Cilla Black, Al Martino, Gene Pitney and Linda Ronstadt with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra. Recorded more than 30 albums with many local jazz artists, Bob Barnard, Tom Baker, Judy Bailey, Graeme Bell, Keith Hounslow and James Morrison. Soloist on soundtrack of 1994 movie “ The Last Tattoo “. Last gig in Sydney was with James Morrison’s Tribute to Louis Armstrong band. Since moving to Queensland has worked for the Education department as an Instrumental Music teacher.
Regular member of the Up the River Jazzband, the Caxton Street Jazzband and the Jazz Factory in Noosa.


Erin Sulman - Drums

After thirty years of hitting drums there aren't too many gigs Erin hasn't played. It's a full time job for him and after fifteen years, teaching seemed like a fun thing to do. It turns out Erin is pretty good at it.



Ross Farrant - Drums 

*Drum Teacher Ross Farrant a Drummer with over 20 Years Recording and Touring experience, Cert II In Music Industry and a Blue Card Holder.

*Students learn all styles of music Rock, Metal, Funk, Hip Hop, Pop, Jazz, Blues and   Country, Learn Drum Rudiments, Reading Drum Music, Developing Student’s Playing Skills,   Learning all styles of Drumming and soloing.

*Each Student lessons are tailored to their Drumming goals and aspirations.

*Any skill level from Beginner to Advanced Drum Lessons ages 5-85.

*Drum lessons are held weekly Monday-Saturday .




Denise Faulkner - Piano

A teacher of piano and theory for many years. Holds a BMus from Melbourne University with special focus on the relationship-centered, one-to-one music studio environment. Certificates in music education of small children from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne'.


Mal Zego - Guitar / Bass

Mal has been playing and performing guitar for 20+ years.
He has been teaching for 15 of these years also. He teaches acoustic guitar / electric guitar and also bass guitar.

Lorrisa Humble - Piano / Keyboard

Lorissa has taught  hundreds of students over the last 18 years. Many come to her wanting to explore popular music, others to be ready for musical exams or university entrance. Whatever the motivation, Lorissa is experienced across a range of styles, genres and techniques.

Lorissa holds a BA (Music) and trained as a classical pianist under incredible instructors such as Dr David Clarke and Awarding Winning educator David Redfern . 



   Andrew Turnbull - GUITAR TEACHER .

Andrew has been playing for over 40 years and doing gigs for 20 years performing in local restaurants and cafes as guitar alfresco . 
He spent 5 years teaching in Brisbane and has now started teaching at Music @ Noosa .   
He is a relaxed , friendly teacher covering most styles of guitar . Andrew plays by ear and can work out most songs / riffs and show you how to play them . He can also drown you in fretboard theory if that is your thing .
Andrew is suitable for beginner to intermediate specializing in nylon string guitar music including fingerstyle and chord - melody arrangements .
