S-1 Switching: Built directly into the master volume knob. Pressing the button changes the pickup routing, allowing
you to add the neck pickup to positions that wouldn't normally have it.
The advanced wiring on this model provides classic Stratocaster tones when the S-1 switch is UP (Off). Engaging the
switch DOWN (On) changes the routing to activate different pickup combinations:
Position 1 (Bridge): Adds the Neck pickup in parallel (Telecaster-style routing) – using Tone 2 control knob
Position 2 (Bridge + Middle): Adds the Neck pickup in parallel (all three pickups are active at once) – using
Tone 1 control knob
Position 3 (Middle): Remains the Middle pickup only (standard Stratocaster routing)
Position 4 (Middle + Neck): Remains the Middle and Neck pickup (standard Stratocaster routing)
Position 5 (Neck): Remains the Neck pickup only (standard Stratocaster routing)
In summary engaging the S-1 button adds the neck pickup into switch positions 1 and 2
