A wonderfully light 3.5 kg’s and with all original case candy, this Stratocaster is in impeccable condition and whilst a heavy relic it is so tastefully done that it appears and plays just like the real deal. Do not miss out on this one!
Released in 2024, the Fender Custom Shop introduced the 1963 Stratocaster Super Heavy Relic. The lively, resonant two piece select ash body is paired with an extremely comfortable playing rift sawn maple neck with a 1963-style C back-shape and round-laminated 3A rosewood fingerboard for a quintessential early 60’s Strat.
The body is wrapped in a stunning Super Heavy Relic lacquer finish – Super Faded Aged Black over Three-Colour Sunburst and looks like it was gigged hard for decades. With a set of three Custom Shop hand-wound 1960/63 Strat pickups (RWRP middle pickup), this guitar sounds as incredible as it looks.
Other premium features include a 9.5 inch radius neck, 21 narrow tall (6105) frets, Fat 1950’s ½ Blender Strat wiring with Greasebucket tone circuit, 5-way switch, 3-ply mint green pickguard, Custom Shop vintage synchronised tremolo, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut, wing string tree with tall metal spacer, deluxe hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity.
