Murphy Lab's "1959 Les Paul" faithfully reproduce the vintage feeling and characteristics of a "Burst" using modern construction methods. The neck is the "59 Medium C-Shape" with a moderate thickness. The pickups are unpotted Custom Bucker pickups, which reduce output to fully utilize the rich natural sound.
Murphy Lab products use new painting processes and paints to achieve real weather checking, and the aging techniques we have developed to date to achieve the look of a guitar that looks vintage as soon as you open the case. They also use rolled fingerboard binding, which reproduces the feeling of a vintage guitar that gets worn down over the years of use, making it a guitar that makes you feel like you're playing a vintage guitar. The color is a vibrant Washed Cherry. This guitar has a light aged finish with a moderate weather-checked paint surface and light aged hardware.
