The original’s famous dual-spring GIBBS reverb tank has been painstakingly recreated using a high-resolution 4-second impulse response captured from an authentic GIBBS unit. TC Electronic’s zero-latency convolution engine combines with detailed circuit modelling to nail that sweet, vintage reverb sound we all know and love. They’ve even added a reverb tone control (absent from the original) for modern players who want to tailor the effect, though purists can simply leave it at 12 o’clock for authentic vintage character.
The cabinet simulation features an official Celestion Creamback impulse response, chosen after extensive testing to perfectly complement the amp modelling. COMBO DELUXE 65™ operates in dual-channel mode by default, letting you toggle between the clean green channel and the higher-gain red channel with different voicing. Press REVERB and CHANNEL simultaneously to switch to bypass mode, turning the pedal into a simple stompbox you can engage when needed.
Three output options provide maximum flexibility: the DI output includes cabinet simulation for direct PA connection or recording, the OUT jack bypasses the cab sim for use with external amplifiers, and the headphones output includes cab sim for silent practice.
