There have been various iterations of the Gibson SG Deluxe over the years. This model is extremely rare, from a
short-lived run in the late '90s (1998-99). Various sources say that less than 400 were made! The Blue Ice Gibson SG
Deluxe features a flash Maestro branded bigsby, three Firebird mini-humbuckers and a classy, beautiful ebony
fretboard with pearl block inlays. The slim ’59-style neck makes it a fast, comfy player. With the tone/pickup selector
you have plenty of shaping available: sharp mids, glassy highs, and plenty of bark when cranked.
Includes non-original (SKB) hardcase. The tuners have been replaced with USA Sperzels and the strap button moved.
There are a few very minor scratches which you would expect in a twenty seven year old instrument.
Three Mini Humbucker Version (made in 1998 – 1999 only):
First introduced in 1998 the three mini humbucker Gibson SG Deluxe came with a rosewood fretboard and acrylic
dot inlays in two colours (Hellfire Red and Blue Ice)
In 1999 a limited run (less than 400) of the SG Deluxe was produced with an ebony fretboard and small mother of
pearl block inlays in two colours (Blue Ice and Ebony)
